MG America (Fairfield, NJ), the U.S. subsidiary of MG2 (Bologna, Italy) and a supplier of processing and packaging machinery, celebrated its 20th anniversary serving the U.S. pharmaceutical, cosmetic, nutritional, food, and general packaging industries. MG America operates from a 20,000-sq-ft facility in Fairfield, NJ.
Pharmaceutical machinery supplier Bausch Advanced Technology Group (Clinton, CT) announced the expansion of its facility in Clinton, CT. The renovation will double its square footage and increase Bausch’s manufacturing capability. The new facility will have expanded space for engineering, pilot testing, parts, and service, as well as for research and development.
MedPlast Inc. (Tempe, AZ) has acquired ATP’s Engineered Rubber and Plastics Group (ERPG; Wayne, PA) and K&W Medical Specialties (Westfield, PA). ERPG serves industrial markets with thermoplastic, silicone, and rubber molding; K&W offers thermoplastic molds and contract manufacturing services. The new MedPlast organization will provide customers with engineered thermoplastic, silicone, and rubber molding, as well as assembly expertise. MedPlast will operate five plants across the United States with about 800 employees.
Bilcare Global Clinical Supplies (Phoenixville, PA) has formed its first corporate advisory board. Bilcare Limited’s chairman and managing director Mohan Bhandari announced former Pfizer president John LaMattina and Waterloo Institute of Nanotechnology executive director Arthur Carty as the board’s inaugural members. LaMattina will serve as its chairman. The advisory board was created to provide Bilcare GCS senior management with independent scientific industry expertise and insight.
