The Latest in Sealers

Touch Screen Control
A validatable impulse heat sealer features TOSS touchscreen control for graphical display of temperature/time/pressure with recipe storage, multi-point calibration, and visual and audible alarms. Fully calibratable and ISO 11607 and RoHS compliant, the cleanroom heat sealer is designed for reliable sealing of plastics and sealable composites in medical packaging, pharmaceutical, research and development, or production environments. The PW4400 impulse heat sealer is available in 24- and 36-in. sizes, with optional vacuum purge. TOSS Technology Variable Resistance Control is employed allowing the heating element to serve as its own sensing device. TOSS measures and controls the resistance of the entire heating element, eliminating temperature variations caused by the surrounding environment or by the frequent movement of thermocouples. Integrated Testing
A pouch sealer integrates in-process visual inspection and destructive testing. The MS-451PV features an advanced transducer that manages platen pressure and electronically feeds data back to the microprocessor in real time. The
platen’s thermal environment is managed with a K-type thermocouple configured to sample pouch environment. Quality teams can program required stop and test functions that prompt operators to perform a visual seal inspection. Van der Stahl Scientific Inc., Redlands, CA; 800/550-3854; www.vanderstahl.com.

Washdown Sealer
A system is made of 304 Stainless Steel with 316 Stainless/composite ball bearings, IP65 motor, NEMA 4x electrical box, and protected electrical heater leads. The Supersealer SB20 features a small footprint, variable speed, and few moving parts. Options include bag coders and printers, loaders and fillers, support conveyors, top trimmers, and compression belts. OK International Corp., 800/521-2908; www.okcorp.com.
