Tekni-Films, a Tekni-Plex Company (Somerville, NJ), has started production of locally laminated PVC/PCFTE for the Mercosur market in Latin America from its facility in Buenos Aires. This additional capacity allows the company to provide immediate availability and faster delivery of these products in South America.
In addition, Tekni-Plex, Argentina, S.A., will soon begin production of high-quality precision tubing for aerosols and other dip-tube applications at its Buenos Aires facility.
The Packaging Education Forum (PEF; Arlington, VA) has selected Adolph Gottscho Inc. (Union, NJ) as Packaging Leader of the Year, 2003-2004. Elau Inc. (Chicago) has donated more than $16,000 of its automation systems to the Center for Automation and Motion Control at Alexandria Technical College (Allexandria, MN). The donation is in anticipation of National Science Foundation and Society of Manufacturing Engineers funding for CAMC's proposed automation curriculum.
