InteliJet R

A small-character ink-jet printer is used for in-line medical device and pharmaceutical package printing. The InteliJet R is powered by HP technology and provides high-resolution printing on Tyvek, medical paper, and all porous materials. The printer is designed to print all 24 Windows Unicode languages, dynamic and fixed text, dynamic and fixed bitmaps, integrated bar code support for Code 128, Data Matrix, RSS, HIBC, UPC A and B, and time/date stamp-fixed or real time. The system offers high-speed printing for packaging application requirements and is capable of printing 600 � 300 dpi at 50 inches per second, 250 feet per minute, 1.27 meters per second. EconoLine

A pressure-sensitive labeling system can be configured for front/back or wraparound applications for speeds up to 100 packages per minute. The labeler was designed to set a new low-price standard and fill the gap between slow, semiautomatic labelers and other in-line labeling systems. EconoLine uses a six-foot-long conveyor with adjustable conveyor height. Label applicators feature leadscrew and no tool adjustments. A simple microprocessor controller allows reliable label dispense accuracy and time-delay adjustments. The system is suitable for hand loading or slow-speed in-line applications. Thermal-Transfer Ribbons

A company offers thermal-transfer ribbons that are FDA-listed for use as drop-in products on FDA-approved packages. The S2 stellar wax, HT8 high-speed near-edge wax-resin, and HT8Plus high-speed near-edge wax-resin ribbons became FDA-listed in June 2003. The company�s L3, S3, HL30, HL32, and HL45 ribbons are also FDA-listed. Both HL30 and HL32 can withstand the autoclaving process. Convertible Labeler

A label applicator can be converted to a print-and-apply labeler in less than 15 minutes. The system comes in two body sizes: the compact mini, which accommodates a 10-in. OD roll of labels, and the full-sized standard, which uses a large 16-in. OD roll of labels. Label sizes from 0.75 � 0.25 in. up to 4.1 � 14 in. can be applied. The unit features user-friendly designs, including a centralized keypad, screened label paths, and a cantilevered printhead for easy media and setup changes.
