AmerisourceBergen Debuts New CIAB Configuration

A new configuration has been released for AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group’s (Rockford, IL) blister and bottle combination package. The company has introduced the newest version of its Compliance in a Bottle (CIAB) design, to include features for multiple blister units within the pack that will accommodate larger medication sizes as well as extended dosing regimens.

The package features a child-resistant cap and body design to store medications in a compliance-prompting, portable package. Unit-dose blisters within the pack carry dosing instructions, days of the week, and patient information.

With the latest configuration, larger tablets and capsules can be housed within the package, in quantities of up to a month’s worth of medication. Cold-formed foil-foil style blisters can also be contained in the new package design.
