AIM Elects Vice Chairman

Chuck Evanhoe has been elected to serve as vice chairman for the Board of Directors of AIM, the international association focusing on bar code, RFID, and enterprise mobile computing technologies. Evanhoe, who is president of Evanhoe & Associates Inc., has served on the AIM Board as the North America representative, and then was appointed to fill an unexpired term as a board member. Known in the bar code and RFID industries, Evanhoe is an active member of AIM’s ADC1 TAG and REG standards committees and served as chairman for the 2010 AIM Expo.

The current board also includes executives from CDO Technologies, Datalogic Scanning, FEIG Electronics, Lowry Computer Products, Motorola, Savi Technology, TAGSYS, and Zebra Technologies. Serving members in 43 countries for 35 years, AIM has developed technical specifications and guidelines to support the use of auto ID and mobile IT solutions. It supports the development of technology standards, guidelines, and best practices through its Technical Symbology Committee (TSC) and RFID Experts Group (REG), as well as through participation at the industry, national (ANSI) and international (ISO) levels.

Board representatives are elected by the AIM membership for a two-year term, and the chairman and vice chairman positions are filled by Board vote.

AIM publishes the e-newsletters "RFID Connections" and "AIM Connections" and produces the annual AIM Expo conference and exposition for providers, users, and integrators of auto ID and mobile IT solutions.
